Delete your account
Your data is yours. Closing your Dirtanian account takes a few taps in the app, and everything that identifies you is removed. If you ever come back, the trails will be waiting.
Delete in the app (fastest)
- Open Dirtanian and sign in.
- Go to Me → Edit profile → Delete account, or Settings → Delete account.
- Review what goes and what stays, type DELETE to confirm, and re-confirm with your password, Google or Apple sign-in if asked.
Deletion runs immediately on our servers and signs you out on every device. It cannot be undone.
What is deleted
- Your profile, photos and dependents' details
- Rides, routes, ride tracks, bikes and licences
- Follows, connections, chats you sent, comments and reviews
- Ranking, XP, challenge and leaderboard places
- Saved cards and payout details
- Your sign-in (email, Google or Apple)
What is kept — without your name
- Orders and receipts
- Race entries and official event results
- Payment ledger entries
These are financial and results records we must keep under South African tax and consumer law — for up to five years from the transaction. Your name, email and phone number on them are replaced with “Deleted rider” the moment your account closes, so they no longer identify you.
Can't sign in anymore?
No problem — email us from the address you registered with and we'll take care of it for you.
- Email letsride@dirtanian.com with the subject “Delete my Dirtanian account”.
- Include the email address or phone number on your account so we can find it.
- We confirm your identity and complete the deletion within 30 days, then let you know it's done.
