A composite skid plate that does the job of an aluminium one at 40% of the weight - and unlike aluminium it does not ring, so it adds no vibration or drumming through the frame.
The shape is built to slide over rocks and logs rather than catch on them, and the composite construction takes a higher impact than the metal plate it replaces before it gives up.
