The GX-J is Gaerne's junior motocross boot, made in Italy to the same pattern as their adult boots rather than as a scaled-down toy.
The structure is built around Gaerne's ATP - Anti-Torsion Pocket - which supports the ankle against twisting while still letting the foot move naturally. The upper is lightweight, with an anatomically shaped PU-injected front shin plate, a reinforced heel and an internal toe reinforcement, and microfibre inserts across the instep so it flexes where a rider needs it to.
Four lightweight buckles close it, all replaceable rather than a write-off if one breaks, with a Velcro strap at the top. The top two buckles open wide enough to take a larger calf or a knee brace. The inner side is lined in stamped suede for grip against the frame and protection from exhaust heat.
